About

This is a working notebook, not a publication. It is written from a single Proxmox host in the Netherlands that runs RHEL 10 guests, a handful of Kubernetes clusters, and a set of small services that exist mostly to see whether an idea holds up.

The subject is narrow on purpose: Linux operations, where a language model is one component among several — reading logs, proposing changes, writing the first draft of a playbook. It is not a site about prompts. It is a site about what you do after the model answers, which is almost always systemctl status.

How it is built

  • WordPress 7.1 on PHP 8.3 and MariaDB 10.11, nginx in front, a child theme of Twenty Twenty-Five
  • No page builder, no CDN, no external fonts, no analytics — the page you load is served by this host
  • Reachable only through an outbound Cloudflare tunnel: no inbound port is open on the router
  • SELinux in enforcing mode, firewalld on, certificates renewed by DNS-01

Who writes it

Eric — systems engineer, keeps the machines that other people’s ideas run on. The notes are the ones I wanted to find when I started, with the commands I actually ran and the places where the obvious answer was wrong.
